Thomas G. Hinton
Savannah River Ecology Laboratory Dr. Hinton's research interests are: Transport and fate of radioactive contaminants in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; effects of low-level, chronic irradiation on biota; human and ecological effects from exposure to contaminant mixtures; transgenerational effects from contaminant exposure; human and ecological risk analyses; remediation of radioactively contaminated wetlands; contaminant transport models; the use of radioactive tracers as a tool for understanding fundamental ecological processes. Dr. Hinton's research can be broken into five major themes (below). Click on a theme to view a description of Dr. Hinton's contributions to the area, and a selection of relevant publications.
